ArkaX is operated by ArkaX Career Guidance LLP, a Limited Liability Partnership registered in India. References to "we," "our," or "ArkaX" in this policy mean ArkaX Career Guidance LLP.

2. What we collect

Depending on how you use ArkaX, we may collect:

• Identity information — name, date of birth, grade, school name.
• Contact information — email address, phone number, parent/guardian contact details.
• Educational information — academic performance, assessment responses, interests, career roadmap data.
• Account information — login credentials (passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text).
• Usage information — pages visited, features used, device type, browser type.

3. How we use it

We use this information to:

• Provide career guidance, assessments, and personalized roadmaps to students.
• Share progress and insights with linked parents, schools, and counselors as per role-based access.
• Improve the platform, fix issues, and develop new features.
• Communicate important updates, support responses, and (where opted in) product news.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. Children's data

ArkaX is built primarily for students in grades 9–12, many of whom are minors. We process minor students' data only with verifiable parental consent or under the authority of the student's school. We do not show advertisements to minors and we do not engage in profiling or tracking that could cause detrimental effect on a child.

5. How we share it

We do not sell student data to third parties — ever. We share information only:

• With the student's linked parent, school, and assigned counselor (role-based access).
• With service providers that help us run the platform (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery), bound by contractual confidentiality.
• When required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.

6. How we protect it

• All traffic is encrypted in transit using TLS.
• Sensitive credentials are hashed and stored using industry-standard practices.
• Data is hosted on Google Cloud / Firebase infrastructure with their security controls.
• Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

7. Your rights under DPDPA

As a Data Principal, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request erasure of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Withdraw consent for processing (which may limit access to certain features).
• Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf.
• File a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Data retention

We retain student data for as long as the student's account is active. After account closure, we retain data for a limited period to comply with legal and audit requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

9. Cookies

ArkaX uses essential cookies for login session management and platform functionality. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when changes were made. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email.
